That Game of Boxball.
The championship of this popular and exciting game is in dispute. Particularly so in the minds of several Aylmerites, to wit: Joe Davis, Ed Monteith, Jack Lowe, Fred Love, Ted Richards, and Leman Parker. Within the past week a challenge was issued by Law and Love to Davis and Monteith for a series of games to take place at Port Stanley, which challenge was eagerly and promptly accepted.

Murray Benner, after an absence of three years in the Peace River district, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs T. W. Benner, Talbot Street East.

Five recruits from this vicinity were sent by Col. Brown to join the Sixth Field Battery at London on Friday. They were J.Gibbs, T.Learn, Alfred G. Walter, A.P. Methune, and Howard Hartman.

M.M. Ward, of the Royal Bank staff, has gone with the Dufferin Rifles, of which he was a member, to Valcartier Camp, and will accompany them to the front.
