A union prayer meeting of all the churches in town was held in the Baptist church last evening. The day was set apart over all Canada as a day of prayer that the dove of peace may soon spread her wings over Europe.
The banks state that under present international exchange, they do not wish to get loaded up with American paper money, and are therefore making a charge of two per cent, on all American money present over the counter. This applies to American exchange.
